Emma is an Architect with a keen interest in conservation and the design of contemporary interventions within a historic context. In addition to being registered with the Architects Registration Board and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Emma is also a member of the SPAB. Emma is accredited by the RIBA as a Specialist Conservation Architect (SCA). Last year, Emma sat on the judging panel for the RIBA South Regional Awards as the 'Conservation Expert' after being approached by the RIBA.

Since joining Nick Cox Architects, Emma has worked on a variety of projects ranging from contemporary extensions in the context of small scale residential properties, to stone conservation and reroofing works at Wells Cathedral.

Emma enjoys free hand drawing and uses it frequently as a way of generating ideas efficiently within a tight timeframe. Emma founding the ‘Oxford Urban Sketching Group’ over five years ago which continues to hold regular events and promote hand drawing to a wider audience.

Emma currents acts in the volunteer role as Co-ordinator for the ‘RIBA Oxford Women Architects Group’. The RIBA approached Emma to help re-establish the Group and she is responsible for organising events and being the main contact with the RIBA to promote the group’s presence.
